The mommy and me sessions have been so popular.  Don’t forget you can still schedule your mommy and me session for $50 through the end of May.  And you can see from my previews below, this is not only for mothers and young children.  In fact what started this was an image of an adult woman with her mom.  Don’t think for a second that you are too old for photos… NEVER!!

We also saw baby Eason for his 6 month session and had some fun with him both inside and outside!

And finally- we are still photographing seniors for the class of 2012.  We know that senior year is a busy one and that time flies by.  Don’t head off too college before having your senior portraits done! Kate brought her boyfriend along for a few photos as well.

I tried everything, sneezing, funny sounds, singing (my poor clients), jumping up and down, tickling…EVERYTHING.  He just wasn’t going to crack today.  His mom played a video on her phone of him giggling.. nothing.  Doesn’t matter, I’m still in LOVE with this picture.  Those cheeks, that mouth, his eyes.

This was the closest we got.  So handsome in his suit!  He already knows how to rock a tie.

If you have ever been to my studio, you may have noticed  I  have three images of my daughter and I framed on my wall in the viewing room. I treasure those photos.  I never get tired of looking at them.  In fact one of those photos is on my iPhone case and I get grief about having a photo of myself on MY phone from my family (meanies).  It doesn’t bother me, it’s not a vanity thing.  I love my daughter so much and that photograph reminds me of it every time I look at it.

Take the time to have photos made with your children.  Don’t make excuses, get in the photo.  I promise… you will hold these close to your heart.

Baby Elijah. Be Good!

Baby Jackson first came to me last week.  Newborn sessions do take the longest to photograph but I always tell people they are the most rewarding.  While I always hear, “Thanks for your patience”, I completely understand that parents have to practice this thing called patience too. On Friday I captured this darling photograph of Jackson on a family heirloom quilt that I learned was over 100 years old.  We kept our fingers crossed for no accidents!

Unfortunately, it was just not a good day for Baby Jackson and I had to see him again today.  This kind of stuff happens with newborns every once in a while.  When it does, I always find that the second day is soooo much better.  Earlier today, he was much more willing to be photographed.  Look at how beautiful he is!

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather!!  It won’t be long before we are fighting the summer heat!!

Back by popular demand!  We will be at the Arboretum during their largest festival of the year, Dallas Blooms.  If you have never been, you must go.  Imagine thousands of tulips and daffodils blooming over massive sprawling acres.  It is a sight to see!

Your entrance fee will be waived when you meet us at the front entrance.  Plan on spending at least 30 minutes with me during your appointment.  After we are done, feel free to stay and enjoy the surroundings and have a picnic.  It’s the best time of year to be there!

Children have those photos of being pensive, inquisitive, mischievous and you look deep into their eyes and see their souls. Yet, it is the photos where I see sheer joy and immeasurable happiness that I always remember.  I’m glad I get to photograph happy people preserving happy memories!
