Yes, I am already celebrating the extra long weekend for everyone. I have lots of studio work planned over the weekend but I’ll be doing it from home and not in the studio.
With a break in the heat, this was a great week to get outside and take some pictures. If you know me, you know I love being outside. But this weather always renews my fondness for the outdoors. The little breeze that swirled through the air just brought a smile to my face. It was a good day!
From yesterday, Baby Avery at 6 months old. She cut her first tooth yesterday and it was a new feeling for her. Her mom and grandmother kept wondering why she was biting her bottom lip and making funny faces. It was later discovered that she had a new little tooth down there.
On Wednesday, I photographed two children who performed like models for me. Tatum and Cohen were so at ease in front of the camera. It was a magical experience to say the least. At one point, Tatum’s mom called her Sidetrack. She shared the story about how she had come up with that name hoping she wouldn’t like it and stay more focused – but Tatum liked it and it stuck.
