Sorry I didn’t get to post last night. I took a night off and went with some friends to go see Mama Mia. It’s 6:30 am and I am searching for these images to post and those songs are stuck in my head now.
Baby Marti - such a cutie. Twinkling eyes, a happy smile, and cutest use of a tongue that I have ever seen! Oh MY GOODNESS! I don’t know how her parents ever keep their eyes off of her. She is just one of those babies that warms your heart.

Earlier in the day, I had a pair of Dr. Morgan’s patients - a mother and son who came in and just laughed and laughed. I had no problem seeing the fantastic new smiles.

I have had a rush of one year olds it seems. Early this morning, I went out to The Greenery to photograph Mr. Jadon in his mother’s old back yard. She grew up in that house and that yard. I thought it was pretty special to be photographing him out there. The Greenery is selling this 1949 Green Chevy pick up and Jadon loved driving it.

At the end of the session we went inside the house and played with some balloons. I loved this image the moment I took it.

Later Andee, my favorite Lubbock baby, came to visit me. OK, maybe she is my only Lubbock baby - but I am sure she would still be my favorite. She is beautiful.

Some days are just better than others. And I wanted to post really quickly that today is one of those FABULOUS days. I still have more sessions to go, but I wanted to share this one that just makes me smile big!

Ok I am back to post a few more… Another composite from Mr. Layne’s one year old session. If I was his mother I know that he would be Waxahachie’s most photographed baby. He is just scrumptious!

Later, Bridget came in for her Dr. Morgan mini session. this is why I said the gods were smiling on me. She came in was fun and confident and we found a couple of places quickly outside to grab a few great images. She is a natural in front of the camera!

One more to go today!!
I’m back for the last time until Tuesday. I photographed the Carter girls tonight and both of them were made to be in front of the camera. They are real beauties with gorgeous eyes. Landry and Josie are both models in training.

Be Good!
I photographed the Woolard family last night at Chapel Creek at sunset. I have photographed there before for a wedding. And I had photographed their oldest son last year for his senior pictures. In a couple of weeks he’ll be heading off to college and it was the perfect time to document the family.
Here are the boys- when I asked them to be tough, they were excited to take this picture.
It appeared as the boys had a good time and they were relaxed and having fun in their pictures. This is one of the last images I took of the family. i love the shot!

Be Good!
My title has nothing to do with the preview posts below… but whoever said getting old stinks was RIGHT. Since Tuesday I have been nursing a mild case of whiplash. So you ask?? Marie, how in the world did you get whiplash - a car accident? Noooo….. it was an evil slide at Hurricane Harbor called Mega Wedgie. I used to ride all the thrill rides without consequences. Not anymore. My amusement park and carnival days just may be over.
Yeserday, I photographed an engagement session in Downtown Waxahachie and the park. It was hot in places, but for the most part… it wasn’t to painful. Karel requested some at The Grove. I love that spot.

This reminds me of the Princess Bride, an old movie, but one I still love. If you look at the movie poster for this - it’s the same pose.

This shot I stole from a magazine ad. I tore it out of a magazine last year and just remembered to use it yesterday. I think I like it!
Then my session from Sunday, pre-whiplash. But this session started the “I’m feeling old sequence”. I photographed the Wayne Family. This was an adult family of parents and three brothers. For a couple of years I went to DeSoto High School - the same High School the boys went to. Feeling like I was close to their age - I asked what year they graduated to see if they knew any of my friends. They graduated 10-13 years AFTER me - I doubt we had any friends in common. I was jolted.
They were a great family. I tried it make it quick and painless for everyone. Some of you may recognize Carol from our local library!

I do not normally photograph on Sundays - especially the morning after a wedding but today I shot two sessions. I am previewing the first one today and the second one on Tuesday. I met up with Megan this morning at 6:30 am. We were able to get some fabulous pictures in the morning light.
How should I describe Megan??? A free spirit, confident, comfortable in her own skin, creative, one of a kind… just to name a few. I had a great time with her.
Megan, if I didn’t say it - thank you for breakfast. it was a treat to sit down and talk to you! plus my cinnamon - pecan pancake was one of the best things I have ever had.

Be good!
