We did a special little mommy and daddy and me session today at the studio. Very quick, simple and did I mention quick?? It’s images like these that I think are the most special. My friend offered to take pictures of me and my daughter today and even I am guilty of getting wrapped up in the way I look, whether I am in my skinny or fat jeans. If I could convince all of you to take 30 minutes to come in and have a little mini session with you and your child I can not tell you how special those photos are. My pictures of me and my duaghter in my studio are my favorites ever… because they capture who we really are.

Have a great weekend and be good!!

Rachel came in for her two year old pictures today. In December of 2006, Rachel came to my house and I photographed her as a baby. She was the first baby I photographed at my house after publishing my first website. She was beautiful, with unusual eyes, very much like her mom. When I updated the website I made sure to include a couple of her images because she was just so captivating.

Baby Grant made it to the studio today after an extended stay at the hospital and and an extra week because I was sick. He was a little older than I like… but he did give us about 30 minutes of deep sleep which let me do what I needed to with him. I haven’t done a newborn in so long and I forgot how much I love them. I know I have written about it before. But I love the way it smells in my studio after a baby leaves. He did “baptize” my camera strap which I am actually glad about because I have been wanting to get a “cool” strap for my camera for a while now. I just couldn’t justify buying one when I had a perfectly good one. Now I have a good excuse!

Dr. Laura Morgan and I have made an arrangement to photograph her patients once they have braces removed. Today, Kristi stopped by to flash me her AMAZING new smile!! Lucky girl.. she only had to wear them for two years. I shared with her and her mom that I wore braces for 5 years. I still have dreams about having to take off my braces myself.

Today, Jordan (my new wonderful assistant), my husband and I photographed a very fun wedding. Kelsey and Brian were fantastic and we got some great shots of everyone! The outdoor wedding was held at the PERFECT time. The entire ceremony was shady and breezy. The colorful gerber daisies just popped in the background. Here are some images of the bride and grrom and their bridal party.

My first session back since my illness. We stopped by my favorite field. Though it had not been mowed it was beautiful. I was so glad they were brave enough to venture out into the unknown.

We are off to photograph the Ream-Solis Wedding. Hope everyone has a fantastic holiday weekend!!
