I had some special visitors all the way from Allen, Tx today. Alexis has some of the most beautiful, expressive eyes. That first image really showcases her eyes. She was looking for Barney in my camera. I am showing a before and after of the last shot in the tutu. I put this image through a vintage process. My past clients either love it or leave it. What do you think? Leave a comment - it’s ok to say it’s not your style.
Julie, thank you so much for making the trek to little Waxahachie. I hope you’ll be able to stop by and visit on your next rip to The Dove’s Nest!!

Baby Colton came to see at the young age of 4 weeks old. It is hard to get that newborn "look" when a baby is beyond 14 days old. So for those of you who are expecting… call me before the baby is born so I can set up a tentative time - the sooner the better.
These two are special for different reasons. I love how he tucked his hands close to his face and was all snuggled up in his blanket. And the second has a little smile and I love the look he is giving. Kara - it was great meeting you and your mom today. Thanks again for making that extra long drive. I know you must have been exhausted by the time you got home.

This was not my first commercial photography assignment, but it was my first encounter photographing adults in rabbit costumes. The creative person in me had to admire how they created these rabbit costumes. Combine Chewbaca from Star Wars and Donkey from Shrek and VOILA!! RABBITS.
I was lucky enough to take away one of these home made tarts soon to be for sale to the public. It was FANTASTIC. I was sad I had to share it with family and friends - but they all agreed. VERY GOOD!

Is everyone staying warm and toasty inside?? It was not a good day for photographing today, but I have a little Baby Boom going on at the studio. I scheduled three different babies today!! I love my babies!!
I did have a viewing session today and wanted to share my favorite.
I love getting that unexpected shot - when people think you are not looking. Sometimes, it’s a thoughtful gaze, sometimes it’s a silly laugh, and in this case - it was looking over at mom and being thrilled with the experience. Little Emiline loved dressing up and being a girl!

A series of very unfortunate events have strung themselves together and caused a long lapse since my last post. Last Tuesday, I shot Baby Isabella’s one month old pictures. You’ll see a preview of her session below. During that session, I further injured my back. This made the everyday things physically impossible for the past week. To all of my clients that I called for reschedules - I appreciate you and your patience on this matter. I have never had to reschedule any session because of my health or personal matters. And though I felt horrible doing it - there was no way to go on. That being said… I have been very busy trying to catch up on the reschedules and a long list of "to-do’s" for my current clients. Add this to the fact that I have also been immersed in a time void known as TECH SUPPORT. Apart from falling apart physically, my entire technological network went down at home simultaneously. For those of you that know me…. 50 % of my work gets accomplished at home. I have BIG HOPE that everything will be resolved today. Thanks to all of you that have stopped by, sent e-mails, and called to check in on me. Every day is a little better and I am spending more and more time at the studio.
So now for the long awaited previews. Baby Isabella’s family has waited over a week for their previews.
And finally from yesterday…. Baby Kate in Daddy’s strong arms and peacefully sleeping toward the end of the session.
