~Lots of Previews~

It’s that time of the year.  If you stopped by to visit me today and don’t see your preview keep scrolling down…. it’s here!!

I met Hunter this afternoon and had a lesson on race car drivers.  Mr. Hunter wanted to be photographed with his spider man and race cars.  After humoring him.. we also got a couple of images that I know Grandma will really like.  I had a great time with him.  He made me laugh a lot.

Next came sweet Georgia.  A pretty little girl with a very stylish haircut.  She was just adorable.  I’m a sucker for window pictures.  I must have taken a million  of my daughter doing the same exact thing.  Though it’s not a traditional Christmas Card Picture, I envision her card saying - Celebrate the Wonder of Christmas.  The second is just cute…

and finally… the biggest kid of all…  My friend Floyd just got back from a week long hunting excursion and stopped by to show me his trophy.  It is now documented.

The Burnett Family and I had a fun session. This is a family of big kids, laughter, creativity and uniqueness - MY TYPE OF FAMILY :)  I doubt there is ever a boring moment at their house.  Mom really wanted something unique and I can’t wait to take a look at the rest of the session!!

It was a gorgeous day at the Arboretum.  Brittany, her family, and I made the short trek to Dallas to take advantage of the beautiful Dallas Botanical Gardens.  It was simply a perfect day for Bridals.  The first image looks very commercial to me - something out of a magazine.  #2….. very traditional… the color all around her was just too pretty to ignore.  #3 … very high fashion and modern. Three very different looks - one girl, one dress, one location.  I LOVE THE ARBORETUM!!

I hope you all like them as much as I do!

{Madeleine} the story of her session

Blog_1_bw

Little Madeleine… so unsure of me.  But so much about this image tells the story.  The safety of her mothers lap, the reassurance of her hands, and the comfort of her dolly.  I love it for so many different reasons.

We went outside and she started to warm up a little.  She’s smiling… but sadly not looking at me.  There are two things that will forever be burned in my head about this session.  First the lengths it took to get her to make this smile and Becky, her mother’s friend, singing ABBA’s Dancing Queen to try and make her dance.  She sweetly told me the story of how she sings the song to her niece.

And finally the image of her enjoying the wonderful day.  It was a fun excursion to Dallas today.  I like being able to get out of Waxahachie every once in a while.

{ Madison Turns One }

Blog_1_2 Blog_2

I began photographing Miss Madison when she was in her mommy’s belly.  Her mom was my first maternity ever.  Her images are still on my website.  Then exactly one year ago today little Madison was born and I insisted… I had to take her newborn photographs as well.  You can find those pictures on my site as well.  She was a very easy newborn - she slept peacefully and did exactly as I instructed. Today- she turned one and we documented her special day.

Happy Thanksgiving

Blog_3_2

It’s a time to give thanks for all the blessings in our lives.

For the family we have with us and for those who are always with us in spirit.

For our friends and neighbors who have lent a helping hand.

For our past experiences that that have given us wisdom and
enlightenment and for our present relationships that bring us love.

And for our inner strength and divine spark that keeps us forging forward.

May this Thanksgiving bring you and your loved ones together in peace, harmony, happiness & good health.

These two were the best!!  It was like two little models came to be photographed.  They were a little scared of the lights… but once we overcame that - no problem. They really are two of the most loving siblings I have seen this year.

Paige and Ian - hope you like them!
